I am happy to share that a few months ago I began research towards my PhD at the Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies. My thesis research is focused on coral reef fisheries across a development gradient and uses a mixed methods design. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to conduct research at the centre with some of the foremost scholars of coral reef research. I can’t wait to share my research through a series of planned publications.
I study coral reef fisheries because I am deeply passionate about the ocean and coastal communities. It has always been my hope that my work will tangibly contribute to economic, ecological, and social sustainability of coral reefs. Studying at the centre of excellence for coral reef studies is a once in a lifetime opportunity to progress towards that goal.
